Glorious Hope Christian Church
Effective: [set this to the date the page goes live]
This policy explains what information we collect through our website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain because we want you to actually read it.
1. What we collect
When you fill out a form on our website (to connect with us, request prayer, or sign up for updates), we collect what you choose to give us: your name, email address, phone number, and, if you provide it, your birth date. If a form includes a message box, we also receive whatever you write there.
Like most websites, we also receive basic technical information when you visit, such as the pages viewed and the type of device and browser, through our hosting and analytics tools.
2. Why we collect it
We use your information to respond to you, to welcome you to the church, to send you announcements and event information you ask for, to pray for you when you ask us to, and to celebrate birthdays. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Birth dates
We ask for a birth date only so we can celebrate birthdays and connect people with the right ministries. Providing it is optional.
4. Children and families
Our website forms are meant to be completed by adults. A parent or guardian should complete a form on behalf of anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us at the email below.
5. Prayer requests
Prayer requests and personal messages are shared only with our pastoral team and prayer leaders, and are treated as confidential. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing.
6. Where it is kept and who can see it
Your information is kept in the tools we use to run the church website and our communications. It is accessible to church staff and volunteers who need it to serve you. It is not public.
7. How it is shared
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the website and communicate with you (website hosting, form tools, email, and church management or messaging tools), and otherwise only where the law requires it. Information handled by those providers is also subject to their own privacy policies.
8. Text messages
If you choose to receive text messages from us, message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to stop or HELP for help at any time. No mobile opt-in information or text-message consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
9. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you are connected with the church, or until you ask us to remove it.
10. Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, update it, or delete it by emailing admin@glorioushopecc.org. We will remove it from our systems; the service providers we use may keep copies for a short period under their own policies.
11. Links to other services
Our site may link to other services, such as online giving or video streaming. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.
12. Do Not Track
Like most websites, ours does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
